How do I review and apply campaign changes?

Every campaign change in Decisa starts as a draft: you submit it for approval, an admin approves it, and only then does Apply Changes push it to your ad platform — nothing ever touches Google Ads silently.

Before you start

  • A workspace with the Campaign Management module active and a connected Google Ads account.
  • To approve or apply changes, you need the owner or admin role in the workspace. Anyone can create drafts; only admins move them forward.

Steps

  1. Make a change — it becomes a draft

On a campaign page, actions like pausing, enabling, or editing the budget (the "Update daily budget" dialog ends with Create changeset) never apply directly. You'll see a confirmation like "Budget update request created. Review it in Changesets."

  2. Open Changesets

Use Campaigns → Changes to reach the Changesets page. Drafts and in-flight requests are grouped by stage: "Drafts", "Pending Approval", "Ready to Apply", "Applying", and "History".

  3. Submit for Approval

Open your draft and check each item — updates show a clear From/To comparison of the old and new values. When it looks right, click Submit for Approval.

  4. Approve (or Reject)

An admin reviews the same change list and clicks Approve — or Reject with an optional reason so the creator knows what to fix.

  5. Apply Changes

Once approved, click Apply Changes. For risky operations the button reads Apply (Destructive) instead, so you know exactly what you're confirming. This is the only moment Decisa writes to your live Google Ads account.

What happens next

  • The page shows "Applying changes..." while Decisa pushes the change, then "Changes applied successfully" once every item lands in Google Ads.
  • The changeset moves to the "History" section, and its Timeline records who created, approved, and applied it — with timestamps.
  • If an item can't be applied, its failure reason appears right on the item so you can see exactly what went wrong.

Gotchas

Applying is the point of no return: once a changeset is applied, the change is live in Google Ads and there is no undo button in Decisa. If you spot a mistake in an applied changeset, create a new draft that reverses it. To back out before that point, Reject it at the approval stage, or Delete it while it's still a draft.

Don't see the Approve or Apply Changes buttons? Those actions are limited to workspace owners and admins. If a submitted changeset sits in "Pending Approval", it's waiting on someone with that role.
