How do I create things with guided mode?

Guided mode walks you through creating something — a business, a campaign, a tracking link, an attribution rule — one plain-language question at a time, with a live preview that builds up as you answer. Open it with the c key, from the command palette under Create (guided), or with Do it guided in your setup checklist.

Before you start

  • You need to be inside a workspace — guided mode lives in the workspace, not the account picker.
  • Some flows need a module active first (a tracking link needs the Attribution module; a guided campaign needs a connected ad account). When a flow can't run yet, the review screen tells you why instead of pretending to create.

Steps

  1. Open guided mode

Press c anywhere in the workspace (except while typing in a field) to open the hub — What are we creating today? Or press K for the command palette and look under Create (guided). The setup checklist on your dashboard also offers Do it guided on its next step.

  2. Pick what to create

The hub shows a card per flow with an estimated time and step count. Choose one to start the conversation.

  3. Answer one question at a time

Each screen asks a single question. Type your answer, or press the letter shown on an option (A, B, …) to pick it. Press Enter to move on, or use Continue. The Live preview on the right shows the thing you're building, filling in as you go.

  4. Review before it's created

The last screen is a summary. Check it, click the pencil beside any row to jump back and change an answer, then choose All set, create. Nothing is created until you confirm here.

What happens next

  • On success you see a confirmation with a button to go straight to what you made (for example See in UTM Links), plus Create another to run a flow again.
  • Completing a flow that matches a setup-checklist step ticks that step off automatically — the checklist reflects real progress, not a local checkbox.
  • A guided campaign opens the campaign builder so you can review the change as a draft before it goes live — guided mode never publishes spend-changing actions without that preview.
  • A guided sale records a real manual sale, then sends you to Conversions, where it appears as a sale. Decisa works out which click it belongs to server-side — the flow deliberately never asks you to pick a source, because that would be a control that doesn't really exist. You can also start it from the Conversions page with the Register a sale button.
  • A guided attribution rule saves your real attribution config (model, window, and which signal the matcher trusts first), then sends you to Attribution. The model choices are the same real models your reports use — "The last ad clicked", "Everyone shares equally", and "Recent clicks count more" (time decay). There is no "AI decides" model, because none exists. You can also start it from the Attribution page with the Attribution model button.
  • A guided pixel creates a tracking pixel for Meta, TikTok, or Google and drops you on its page so you can install it next. You can also start it from the Pixels page with Do it guided.

Gotchas

The c shortcut is ignored while you're typing in a text field or when another dialog is open, so it never fires by accident mid-sentence. Use the command palette if you prefer a click.

The connect an integration flow still shows a short "coming soon" note on the review screen — that path isn't wired to a create endpoint yet, so use the Connections page for it today. Registering a manual sale and saving an attribution rule now run for real from the wizard.
