How do I change many campaigns at once?
Tick the checkboxes next to the campaigns you want to change, then use the floating bar that appears — "Pause", "Enable", or "Budget" — to create one reviewable change covering all of them.
Before you start
- A workspace with Campaign Management active and a linked Google Ads account (see Connect Google Ads).
- At least one synced campaign in the account's campaign list.
Steps
Open your campaign list
Go to Sidebar → Connections, click "Manage" on your Google connection, then "View Campaigns" on the linked account.
Select campaigns
Tick the checkbox on each campaign row, or use the checkbox in the section header to select all rows at once. A floating bar appears at the bottom showing your count — for example "3 campaigns selected". The X next to it ("Clear selection") deselects everything.
Pick the action
"Pause" and "Enable" create the change immediately. "Budget" opens a dialog first — "Set daily budget on 3 campaigns" — which warns: "Each campaign receives the same budget. Each item applies independently in the changeset — partial failures stay visible per row." Enter the "New daily budget" and click "Create changeset" (the button reads "Creating…" while it works).
Review and apply
You land on the new change's page with one line per campaign. Nothing has touched Google Ads yet. Depending on your role, click "Submit for Approval", then under "Next step: Review and approve" click "Approve", and finally "Apply Changes".
What happens next
- One change record covers every selected campaign, listed line by line so you can preview exactly what each one will get before approving.
- After applying, you'll see "Changes applied successfully" and the new status or budget on each campaign after the next sync.
- Each line applies independently: if one campaign fails, the others still go through, and the failed row shows its "Failure Reason".
- Your selection clears automatically once the change is created.
Gotchas
Clicking "Pause" in the bar does not pause anything yet — it only drafts the change. If your campaigns are still spending after a bulk pause, the change is sitting unapplied: open it from the campaign page's changes list and click "Apply Changes".
- The "Budget" dialog sets the same daily budget on every selected campaign — it doesn't scale proportionally. Don't mix a $500/day campaign and a $20/day campaign in one bulk budget change.
- A partial failure doesn't roll back the rest. Check the "Failure Reason" on the failed rows, fix the cause, and create a fresh bulk change for just those campaigns.
