How do I run a campaign audit?

Open your ad account's campaign list, click "Audits", then "Run Audit" — a few seconds later you get a health score, findings sorted into "Fix Now" / "Fix Soon" / "Monitor", and a "Prepare Fix" button that turns a finding into a draft change you review before anything is applied.

Before you start

  • A workspace with the Campaign Management module active and a Google Ads account connected (see Connect Google Ads).
  • Some campaign history in the account — the audit looks at real spend, clicks, and conversions, so a brand-new account has little to check.

Steps

  1. Open Audits

Go to Sidebar → Ad Accounts → your ad account → Audits. The "Audits" page lists every audit you've run, grouped under "In Progress" and "Completed".

  2. Click Run Audit

Click "Run Audit". The button switches to "Running..." and the new audit appears under "In Progress". Open it to watch progress — the audit's own page shows "Analyzing your campaigns..." and refreshes automatically until it completes (usually a few seconds). If you stay on the list instead, reload the page to see the audit move to "Completed".

  3. Read the TL;DR

Open the finished audit. The "TL;DR" card shows a "Health Score" out of 100, a one-line headline, any potential wasted spend, and how many findings landed in each priority bucket: "Fix Now", "Fix Soon", and "Monitor". When the summary carries the "AI Enhanced" badge, click "View raw" to compare it with the plain rule-based version.

  4. Open a finding

The "Findings" list explains each issue in two lines: what the rule caught and why it matters. Each finding carries an impact badge (for example "High Impact"), its bucket, and a "Priority score:" that ranks it against the others. Expand it (or use "Expand all") to see the affected campaigns or keywords with their spend, the "Recommended Actions" — each tagged with a risk level and "Reversible" when it can be undone — and a "Confidence:" bar.

  5. Turn a finding into a draft fix

On findings Decisa can fix for you (such as spend with zero conversions), click "Prepare Fix". As the hint says: "Creates a draft changeset to pause affected campaigns. You can review before applying." You're taken straight to that draft.

What happens next

  • The audit shows up under "Completed" on the "Audits" page, so you can compare runs over time.
  • "Prepare Fix" opens a draft change — nothing touches your campaigns until you review, approve, and apply it (see Review and apply changes).

Gotchas

"Prepare Fix" only appears on findings the audit knows how to fix automatically. If a finding doesn't show the button, that's not a bug — use its "Recommended Actions" as your to-do list and make the change yourself.

Running an audit never changes your campaigns. It only reads data — the wasted-spend number is potential waste, and every fix still goes through your review.
