How do I choose between Attribution and Campaign Management?

You never flip a switch — Decisa activates each module from what you do: create a UTM link or install the pixel and Attribution turns on; connect an ad account and Campaign Management turns on. Capability-gated sidebar items — the Attribution group and Connections — appear only after you activate them.

Before you start

  • A Decisa workspace you belong to (any role can see active modules; activating them may require member permissions).
  • A rough idea of your first goal: measure where sales come from (Attribution) or manage your ads from Decisa (Campaign Management). You can do both — in any order.

Steps

  1. Pick the job you need done first

Attribution answers "which campaign actually makes money" — it tracks clicks, ties them to orders, and reports real return on ad spend. Campaign Management lets you review and apply changes to your ad campaigns from inside Decisa, with every change logged. They are independent: most teams start with Attribution.

  2. Activate Attribution by tracking something

Install the tracking pixel via Sidebar → Integrations → Custom Site, or create your first UTM link. The moment your workspace starts tracking, the Attribution group appears in the sidebar with UTM Links, Pixels, and the rest of the reporting pages.

  3. Activate Campaign Management by connecting an ad account

Connect an ad platform account (for example, Google Ads) and let your campaigns sync. Once the connection completes, Connections appears under the Platform group and your synced accounts show up under Ad Accounts.

What happens next

  • The sidebar updates by itself: capability-gated pages — the Attribution group and Connections — appear only after their module activates. The Ad Accounts group is always visible, showing a "No accounts linked" hint until your first account syncs.
  • Activation is per workspace. You might see Attribution-only in one workspace and both modules in another, under the same login.
  • Once both are active, Decisa connects the two: your real revenue data sits next to the campaigns that produced it.

Gotchas

There is no module on/off toggle under Settings — that's by design, not a missing feature. If you're hunting for a checkbox to "enable Attribution", stop: the way to enable a module is to use it (install the pixel, create a UTM link, or connect an ad account).

If a teammate sees a module you don't, you're probably looking at different workspaces. Check the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar before assuming something is broken.
